Transfesa has a fleet of over 1,000 wagons which have been designed to transport general cargo.

Electrical appliances, industrial machinery and detergents are the most important segments.

Transfesa Group has its own warehouses located close to the main manufacturing and consumption centres. From these warehouses, the operations of goods collection, storage, and delivery are carried out according to the requirements of the clients.

Transfesa has a particularly strong presence in the iron and steel market, with rail operations and pre-post shipment by road, in Portugal and Spain for its client Megasa. In addition, it is very active in import activities through the integrated logistics management (ports, storage and final distribution) realised for clients such as ILVA, and Duferco with volumes more than 700.000 tons/year.

Additionally, Transfesa operates 200 trains yearly for the traffic of paper between Spain and Portugal, for its client Saica. It manages the internal logistics of 2,000,000 tons of raw material for this client, at their Spanish production centres.
